At Subaru, we are proud to know that all utility vehicles from the lineup are able to provide intense thrills to drivers in Laval or Montreal, by bringing them on and off the beaten track. That is particularly the case for the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek, an SUV with surprising capacities despite its compact size.
Launched in 2011, the Crosstrek, then called XV, has met with great success from the get-go. Redesigned in 2016, and upgraded every year since, the Subaru SUV has all the comfort and dynamic qualities of a sedan, with the claims and capabilities of a utility vehicle.
It’s impossible not to compare the Subaru Crosstrek with the Hyundai Kona. The latter, just recently born from the Korean company, is in fact a Hyundai utility vehicle more oriented toward urban use than for the great outdoors. Its smaller dimensions and its limited ground clearance prevent it from measuring against the Subaru in all driving aspects.
Hence, the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek offers, standard, the Symmetrical Full-Time All-Wheel Drive system which allows it to overcome all obstacles, from urban construction site in Downtown Montreal or in the West Island, to the less-welcoming roads of the surrounding countryside. Even off road, with its raised chassis, the Crosstrek is able to reach its destination, in both winter and summer.
The Hyundai Kona requires a higher-range version to include the all-wheel drive, and its drive is more geared toward Montreal and Laval drivers who only have to face urban roads. Its dynamic and muscular style does not however allow it to count on a wide cargo space, while the Crosstrek provides a large trunk volume, and a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds.
Under the hood, the BOXER engine of the Subaru develops about 152 horsepower, while the entry-range version of the Korean utility vehicle has an output of 147 horsepower, on top of higher fuel consumption in combined mode.
The 2020 Subaru Crosstrek is also outfitted with the EyeSight safety system and the StarLink Connected Services. Come discover the complete range, and all versions of the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek by visiting your Subaru Montréal dealer.
