Specs of the 2022 Outback and its Wilderness version

Under the hood of the 2022 Subaru Outback, you can choose either a 182-horsepower engine or a 260-horsepower turbocharged engine, which can be paired with a Lineartronic CVT or a high-torque CVT, depending on the engine you choose.

On the Outback Wilderness, only the 260 hp turbo engine is available. This engine can tow up to 158 kg (3500 lbs) while the other versions have a maximum towing capacity ranging between 1225 and 1588 kg (2695 to 3500 lbs).
